Are your eating right?

My three kids eat and run almost everday, and we hardly have a chance to sit down at the dinner table to have a decent conversation. In order to assure they are getting the proper nutrition, we don’t allow them any snacks, if they don’t eat at least  a portion of their meal. So if they are in a hurry to eat and get out to play with their friends, and skimp on the meal, they realize this when they are hungry and come in for a snack. I have noticed a big difference in their eating habits, and now get a chance to see how their day has gone.

We were at a family gathering this past weekend, and one of my nieces who entered her Senior year, was already starting to talk about her Senior Prom. I thought it interesting that her and the other ladies in the family were already looking at catalogs for 2009 Prom Dresses. I asked her if she already had a date for next years event, and she said not yet, but there is plenty of time for that. It got me to thinking, when I was in High School, did my date already have her dressed picked out months in advance in hopes that she would asked to the Prom?

It seems as if the Senior Proms are becoming more elaborate and a big social affair. The planning rivals that of some weddings. Of course nowadays, you can just get online and check out the dresses for Proms for 2009 and even going back to 2003. Because we all know you can’t possibly wear what was “in” last year. There are even sites now dedicated specifically for talk and advise on Prom Dresses.

I just hope that when my daughters reach that age, that Proms will be a little less stressful. After all, your Senior year in high school is supposed to be some of the best times in your life. If you are worried about which color of dress and shoes you will be wearing 8 months away, you may miss out on the fun stuff leading up to this very important date.

We recently attended an Intellectual Properties conference in which they shared the details of some the more recent cases such as ebay vs Mercantile exchange and the right to trademark and owners rights on technology. In the world of Computer Aided drafting, files are shared on a daily basis in their draft form with little thought to Trademark or IP Protection for those very ideas. Now there is a solution with the first to market product from

Technical right management (TRM) is about protecting the high value CAD  that you or your company must share with others. There is a concentrated to effort now to protect technical information. Up till now there were only efforts to protect the digital content via copyright protection laws. These have concentrated on the music, film, and book industry. The B2B world in sharing of technical ideas were less stringent, and the owners rights were hard to identify in this digital world. The suite of products offered by Pinion Software looks to solidify that aspect for business and looks to become an insensible part of business.
