If you use your cell phone to just call a friend then you are probably in the minority. It is estimated that most people use their cell phones for everything other than making calls. This can be seen in the design and looks fo todays smartphones as they are engineered to help you surf the web, text, and stay connected to your friends via social sharing apps. The cost that most people are paying for their cell phone service is about $80. They get you hook, line and sinker because they promise the most advanced technology and all your friends are using the same plan. For a lot of people they are paying way to much and their is a great way to save on your cell phone plan.

With SmartTalk you can get everything you need from texting, web surfing, and calling all for one low monthly price. They have their starter plan which starts at $30 per month for 1000 minutes/1000 texts and 30 Mb of data. For the unlimited version you only $45 per month which is about half of what most people are paying now. With all that extra money what would you do? With 5 people in our home that could add up to a large sum and we would take a family vacation. A vacation where we could all be together and get back to those family conversations we used to have before our lives got so hectic and where we now rely on our cell phones to stay in touch. Take a look at the following customer testimonial on what other are saying:

Credit card offers and your credit score

The best thing on the market today is the 0% interest credit cards for 12 – 15 months on purchases and sometimes balance transfers. This is especially true for student credit card offers. When I was attending college there were always special offers for college students to choose a particular card. In most cases it was your school branded items that were the give aways. This is great marketing as the companies are hoping that you will graduate and become successful and remember who gave you your first credit card. What happens in many cases is that students charge well more than they can afford and only look at the minimum payment. This works for a while then when they leave school to head into the job market and not able to get a job right away the credit card is one of the first bills to be put on hold. This creates a bad financial situation as the credit score is lowered and it makes it difficult to gain future credit and even some employer look at your credit score for employment.

You can also get your free credit score before applying to make sure that you are going to get the best deal. Do not take for face value all the offers that you receive by mail or phone. Many of the companies are basing the rates they offer on your an average credit score and you may actually qualify for a lower rate. They provide a very easy to use comparison page to showcase the different offers and what each one means so that you can pick the right card for your needs. So the next time you go to pull a credit card out of your wallet make sure to know what benefits you are getting or missing out on.

I was reading an interesting article today on the amount of technology that we as Americans throw away each year. In landfills, computers and technology gadgets like MP3 players,DVD players, and TV’s make up 71 % of the landfill. It is estimated that we throw away approximately 141 million gadgets each year and over 200 million various computer parts. This is a staggering amount when you think about the massive volume that these devices take up in our land fills and wonder how long can we sustain this habit. Many states are enacting laws and recycling centers where you can take old TV and computer parts and monitors for proper disposal. While this is one good way to help reduce the impact on the land fills and the environment there are others ways to help recycle your cell phones, laptops, and other electronic gadgets.

At various site you can log on and get paid to recycle your cell phone or old iPod. I was looking around our home and we have about 6 different cell phones that we no longer use and the kids are just using as play toys. We also have three different iPods and one original iPhone that by simply looking at gazelle.com there is money to be made by simply recycling our old tech gadgets through their site. The company was founded in 2006 and have already helped over 175K people recycle their old gadgets and get paid through various means like gift cards or paypal. Through their efforts they have helped to keep over 300 tons of e-waste out of the landfills. I would encourage our readers to check out gazelle.com and see for yourself on what you can do to help the environment.

Looking For Dependable Bandwidth & Security For Your Blog? Try A Dedicated Server

Many people try to sell information sites, such as blogs, with technology or gimmicks they may not need. One thing that may actually benefit sites, especially blogs, are dedicated servers. What makes hosting using a dedicated server so special? Storage, bandwidth, security and customization. There is almost an unlimited amount of disk space using a dedicated server. Since your dedicated server is not shared with anyone, your bandwidth is exclusively for your use only and improves speed on your site. Also by having full ownership of a dedicated server, security can be what you want it. You will have full control over the security settings and can determine who has access to the information. Lastly, and probably the most exciting, is being able to customize your server to your liking. You also have a choice between many different operating systems, however Windows and Linux tend to be the most popular.
