This post brought to you by Snapdragon by Qualcomm. All opinions are 100% mine.

We were just alerted that Qualcomm stadium the home of the surging San Diego Chargers will get a temporary name change to Snapdragon Stadium from Dec 18-29. I don’t believe this is something being done to help the playoff chances of the Chargers, but a great marketing move since  Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are the digital brains inside mobile devices made and are found in many of the new tablets as well. The main events that will taking place over the course of this eleven day name change are:

The Sunday Night Football game between the San Diego Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens. A huge game with playoff implications for both teams.

Two college bowl games: The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl (Dec. 21) and the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl (Dec. 28).

I think this is a brilliant move based on the timing and the link between Qualcomm and Snapdragon. With the speed and agility that these processors possess they are the market leaders behind the brains of most of the smartphones like those made by HTC, Samsung, and Nokia. With smartphones being asked to do so many functions a processor was needed to run simultaneous applications and also not drain the battery. That is why Snapdragon processors are the chip of choice in the mobile world because of their proven success and reliability.

If you work in an office then you have probably had conversations with your co-workers on what could be better. As companies look to improve margins the workspace has moved to the bottom of the list. You can watch episodes of the Office and some of the content does hit home if you have ever worked in an open work space environment. This is evident by companies encouraging employees to work from home, and even sharing work spaces. This has created an environment that  de-motivates the employee to take care of their work space or work area.

While it may not be practical to give everyone their office to help increase employee engagement or motivation then having some decent perks for those that are in the cubicles can produce huge returns. For those that want to take matter into your own hands then enter the Pimp My Cube Contest  that starts now and runs through January 31,2012. Are you in the market for a new cell phone? Samsung has introduced some new lines that offer the customer a great selection based on your needs to have multiple functions. One great resource that allow you to compare the numerous Samsung models is The Link .

We looked at the Samsing Mobile D900, one because of the features and two because it was free. It offers a 3 MP camera, MP3 Player, and is quad band enabled, meaning it will work across a multitude of networks.

They also have to offer the Samsung YPZ5Q Silver which is not currently avaiable in stores. It looks like a MP3 Player  that has phone capabilities. Here are some of the features:

  • Store up to 600 MP3 songs
  • Incredible 35 hour battery life
  • Does Banner advertising really work?

If you own a website and are looking for an inexpensive way to get your site noticed, then banner advertising may be for you. While the click through rate may is usually less than 1% your, Cost per thousand impressions is usually pretty economical. Banners should also be used to Brand your service or website. They should entice the user to click the banner, and be honest. Do not say Free, if when the user gets to your site, and finds there is a small fee, they will most likely never visit your site again.

Once you get them to your site, make it a worthwhile experience, and keep the shopping experience easy and quick.

Stay connected with the LG Double Play

This post brought to you by LG DoublePlay™. All opinions are 100% mine.

Here is a scenario that parents are very familiar with: We are traveling with our kids and a few of their friends to a soccer game and the car is relatively quite with a few giggles every once in a while. I look back in the mirror to see them all on their phones texting. My wife asks who they are talking to and they giggle again and say each other. I can’t understand why they feel the need to communicate via text when they can simply talk to each other when they are sitting next to each other. I guess this way the parents are not aware of what or who they are talking about.

The explosion of cell phones and their adoption at the teenage level has grown exponentially over the past few years and most of the use is mainly texting. This is why phones like the LG DoublePlay™ are so popular. Available exclusively from T-Mobile these phones offer a dual screen for surfing and texting at the same time. With it’s multiple texting modes from Cloud Texting to Group Texting this phone is a teenagers dream. With it’s split Qwerty keyboard it makes connecting through your social network sites and texting your friends easy for anyone. I know that I send about 1000 texts a month and only a few hours a month using my phone to check in on popular sites like Twitter and Facebook. My daughter and her friends far exceed that limit.

    For our readers:

How many texts do you send in a month?

How would the LG Double Play help you in staying connected with your friends?

Leave us comments and share your thoughts and how about the funniest (clean) text you have received.

We have recently encountered another blog community, that does offer Adsense sharing based on your comments and posts. Your are rated by the quality of posts and comments, and then are allowed various percentages of Ads show across the network. You can track this from your back office page, as well invite friends to be part of your blog community. The site is www.trendyfriendy.com if you are interested. I have seen about 80-100 ad views per day with very little involvement. So may be something to watch.

    Welcome to the Alpineiglu Village

If you fancy a luxurious stay in a winter retreat, here’s a new spin on the idea: Alpineiglu Village. Made entirely of snow and ice, is part of the largest ski resort in Austria, Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental and can be found in the tranquil heart of the Tyrolean Mountains.

With seven suites, a restaurant, a bar, a chapel and prices beginning at 185€ per person, per night, this is a real treat for those who love snow and ice. Guests are welcomed with a drink at the Icebar Eristoff, before being shown to their suites.

If you’re wondering how you would sleep in a snow-room, guests are given a snow-proof mattress, Reindeer hides and sleeping bags. Bring some extra layers; you will be getting dressed to go to bed.

Dinner of a meat fondue is served at a crystal-clear ice table and, for those aren’t ready for bed, a moonlit walk by fire-torch in the snowy forest. If you’re there in a Wednesday, you’ll be treated to a Shaman baptism. The owners won’t reveal what’s involved, so if you’ve had one, please tell us about it in the comments section below.

All guests are invited to a tour of Ice Lane, a large exhibition made, of course, of ice. Each year, the exhibition follows a different theme. Guests may also make their own ice sculpture with the help of a professional ice sculptor.

For the truly romantic among you snow and ice lovers, there is a chapel where you can marry. Suites are decorated to inspire romance. The entire hotel is lit beautifully with soft blues, reds and purples and once all the skiers are gone, you’ll be guaranteed a tranquil night.

For a new take on the ski chalet holiday, try the Alpineiglu Village, open from December until March.

Binary Options Trading Outshines Online Gaming

While most gamblers are looking for new bingo sites in order to claim some free no deposit bingo bonuses, online investors are taking an entirely different road, as they are starting to trade binary options over the internet so they can earn up to 91% return on their initial investment. The reason behind the escalation of this form of trading can be attributed to a number of reasons, but most importantly it has to do with the fact that it is very simple, as opposed to forex trading, it involves very little risk from the investors’ point of view and it can be done from the comfort of their own home at their own leisure.

The boom in the industry is also accredited to the fact that investors who trade online have a number of trading tools, that no trader can find on the stock exchange, that help them either increase their profits, by using the ‘Double’ feature which enables them to double their payout, or even minimize their loss by using the popular ‘Stop Loss’ feature, which gives an investor the chance to stop their selected binary option if that asset looks to be out of the money.

Investors who register an account at Option Range, by far the leading brand in the world of binary trading, can also benefit from a free demo account that gives them the chance to trade and learn all the ins and outs without having to make a real money deposit. Once they start their binary options trading trip, they can also take advantage of the fact that they can start trading from as little as ten dollars, which reduces the risk substantially, while the opportunity to make significant profits is still there.

Protect your data with Norton Internet Security Suite

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Norton Small Business by Symantec. All opinions are 100% mine.

Whether you are a small or large business you always need to have safe guards in place if your employees are accessing the internet. In many companies they have limited access to online video, sports and email services. The restriction on being able to check your personal email at work is a practical step since this is the way most computers become infected with malware and malicious viruses. For your home PC it can mean the loss of pics and videos, but for businesses it can mean the loss of data or a breach in confidential information. I was reading an interesting statistic from the National Archives & Records Administration in Washington where they state that 60% of companies that lose their data will shut down in less than 6 months. This is a huge and sobering fact that cannot be taken lightly. The Norton Small Business by Symantec solutions for small to medium businesses can help provide your the security to protect your networks and data. With the latest release this September of Norton 360 and Notron Internet Security 2012  suites businesses can now have world class protection against malware and the latest viruses.

NortonLogo_white.jpg If you check them out today you can get 30% off Norton Small Business Products now . Norton also provides  anti-virus and firewall solutions for families. We currently use the Norton Security Suite on all our PC’s and laptops at home and know first hand the value that they provide. The suite of software can be set up to actively monitor files and attachments to lessen the chance my kids will accidently open a bad file. Small to medium businesses can help protect their employees and allow them some additional freedoms while having a more proactive security suite of software protecting their networks. It is much better to be proactive rather than reactive when you are doing business online. Like we saw with the statistics above the loss of data can cripple a business and make it difficult to recover.

We have uncovered yet another CPA vendor. This time the company is called Qclix.com. The reason we are mentioning them, is that we actually got a check in the mail the other day. I was surpirsed that a campaign we ran a month ago was actually successful. So we started up another one around educational opportunities. This opportunity pays per lead, and apparentyl there are alot of folks still looking for educational information.

All we do is create a splash page with the correct key words, and do some Keyword marketing, adn we are off and running. So far we are seeing a 10% conversion ratio to clicks. Not bad in this day and age. If you need additional revenue streams they can be found at www.qclix.com

I think I have finally found the best of all of the wireless internet service providers. I am an independent filmmaker so I upload very large files to my website regularly. I also download large files like movies and music often so I use a lot of bandwidth. This could get really pricey, so I recently changed over to Clear internet. They definitely have the most flexible packages and I can continue to download what I want with a fast connection. I hated it when my internet connection would be slow and it would take me forever to download music or movies. Another thing I couldn’t stand was when the internet connection would cut out in the middle of and upload or a download so I would have to start all over again. Another feature I added to my package was mobile 4G internet which has been great. I can now get an internet connection wherever I go so I can work from wherever I want. I am really happy I finally found a service provider that meets my needs. In my line of work it is absolutely essential.
