To scrub or not to scrub
No office or hospital nurse would be complete without the scrubs. It used to be they came in a handful of colors. Now they come in a range of different patterns, and colors. This is especially great for the specialty nurse, in need of medical uniforms, as the some patients seem to respond better. There is a theory of what is commonly called ” White Coat Hypertension” This is when a patient visits a Dr., they come in their White Coat and the patients blood pressure, rises due the to the fact they are worried what the Dr. might tell them bad news. For those in the medical professional, different colored scrubs, especially in Pediatrics, it can be a great distraction for the child who is in the patient waiting room
